How to search for what you want

One of the things that all good retail websites have in common, is that they provide a good way to search the site for the products that the customer wants. This doesn't just mean looking for a particular product that the customer already knows about. It also includes a means for searching for particular types of product, based on such factors as price, appearance or other characteristics.
A very good example of this is of course the Magnetic Therapy Bracelets website. To call up its search feature, you simply click on the link where it says "ALL PRODUCTS" as illustrated below.
This will call up a page showing all the items for sale. But more crucially it will change the bar on the left from the one shown above to the one shown below. Of course if you already know that you want a man's or woman's bracelet or a bangle, you can just click on the relevant link at the left of the home screen.
Now, as you can see from the screenshot below, the search column is quite extensive.
It covers THEME, STRENGTH, GENDER SUITABILITY, PRODUCT TYPE, METAL AND PRICE, each with series of check boxes (which means that you can choose as many or as few as you like).
So let's say you want a Bio 4 Elements bracelet or one made of classic titanium (not black) and that you want it to be strong but not too strong - let's say 3 or 4, but not 2 or 5. You click on the relevant check boxes and the selection of items as shown below.
And the selection of the relevant items shown on the right of the screen changes before your eyes as shown in the screenshot below.
Or alternatively, let's say you want a men's bracelet in the £20 to £35 price range. You select the check box next to the word "Men" and drag the boxes in the Price slider to the range you want. It shows the minimum (number on the left) changing as you slide the left box and the maximum (number on the right) changing as you slide the right box.
The selection of bracelets on the right of the screen changes in real-time as you are doing this.
And that's really all there is to it. Then you just click on the item you want and buy it. Good luck with your search.
